University of Toronto Scholarships are scholarships offered by the University of Toronto. These scholarships are made available for both local and international students who wishes to study at the University of Toronto as well as the current students at the University of Toronto.

Most times, international undergraduate applicants’ scholarships are awarded automatically as part of the admissions review process. The University of Toronto has a range of entry scholarships for international students worldwide who plan to study a full-time undergraduate program.

Each year, the university works with departments, campuses and colleges to offer more than 5,000 undergraduate scholarships with a total value of nearly $25 million.

High school students (including international applicants) who meet the admission criteria are automatically considered for various admissions scholarships when applying to college.

University of Toronto Scholarships:

Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is a scholarship at the University of Toronto, awarded to first-time applicants selected by their high school.
Selection criteria are based on student achievement, academic qualification and lots more. This scholarship covers tuition as well as books, room and board, and other expenses.
A small number of outstanding students are selected each year to receive Pearson Scholarships. International high school applicants are also likely considered for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program if selected by their high school.

 University of Toronto Scholarship Award

The University of Toronto Faculty Award is awarded on merit to outstanding students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (St. George Campus).
The International Scholarship Award is awarded to outstanding international students in the largest departments and agencies at the University of Toronto. These awards are renewable and will be awarded once earned, with a total value of over $100,000.

International Merit Entry/Admission Award

Awarded upon acceptance by the College of Arts and Sciences (link is external) of international students selected on the basis of merit. Students becomes automatically considered for this award and are awarded up to $50,000 for four consecutive years, until award completion, whichever occurs first (up to $20,000 in the first, second, third, and fourth year) and is Renewable for $10,000. This award is non-renewable for students admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences before 2023.

Scholarships in courses

In addition to admissions scholarships, more than 5,900 tuition Scholarships in courses are available to University of Toronto students each year.

Toronto Connaught International Scholarship

The Connaught International Scholarships offered by the University of Toronto are designed to provide additional support to international students studying for a Master’s Degree at the University. This scholarship operates through a nomination process conducted by the University of Toronto during the winter intake.

University of Toronto International Engineering Awards

The University of Toronto Engineering International Scholar Award is awarded to students who wishes to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at the University of Toronto (U of T).

President’s Scholars of Excellence Program

Approximately 150 of the most qualified students applying to first year of direct-entry, undergraduate studies are awarded President’s Scholars of Excellence. domestic and international secondary school students who are outstanding are considered automatically for the President’s Scholars of Excellence Program (PSEP) upon admission (i.e. a separate application is not required).

University of Toronto Katha Scholarship Program

The University of Toronto Katha Scholarship Program offered by the University of Toronto (U of T) is made available for new students from India to participate in the Karta Initiative.

This program is designed to support and assist these students as they begin their journey at the University of Toronto.

National Scholarship

The National Scholarship Program honors original and innovative thinkers, and individuals with academic excellence. It is the most important award offered to Canadian high school students entering the university by the University, and all the scholarships are available to scholars in the country.

University of Toronto Mississauga Admissions Scholarship

The University of Toronto Mississauga offers three levels of guaranteed acceptance scholarships to both domestic and international students entering the campus, with average acceptance rates starting at 90.0% .

University of Toronto Scarborough Entrance Scholarship

Here, Domestic students (permanent residents and Canadian citizens) applying from secondary school who are admitted to U of T Scarborough will automatically be considered for scholarships.

University of Toronto Scarborough Entrance Scholarship for Domestic Students are available for domestic students (Canadian citizens and permanent residents) only. University of Toronto Scarborough Entrance Scholarship  for Domestic Students is also based on the scholarship average at the time of admission.

Also, International students applying from secondary school who are admitted to U of T Scarborough are automatically considered for this scholarship.

These awards is to make a significant contribution towards tuition, Student Housing & Residence Life, and other fees. However, students must be able to pay the balance of their expenses during the course of his or her study. Students will need to develop a financial plan to fund his or her studies throughout the time at U of T Scarborough.
