  • Newly graduated secondary school students joining ADU within two years of graduation may qualify for a scholarship ranging from 15% to 50% tuition fee waiver, depending on their high school performance.
  • Applicants must meet the English language proficiency standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
  • The scholarship is valid for students enrolled at ADU with full-time status, necessitating registration for a minimum of 12 credit hours. Exceptions to the credit hour requirement may be granted in the first semester and subsequent term for students awaiting English language proficiency fulfillment.

The H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Scholarship

The duration of any scholarship is a maximum of four years or until graduation, whichever comes first. Occasionally, English language proficiency requirements may also apply. Once the scholarship maintenance criteria are met, there’s no need to reapply.

For this fully funded scholarship, the application process commences upon formal admission to ADU and the allocation of a unique student ID. This ID grants access to a secure university account, which includes a section for Financial Aid and Scholarships.

This scholarship is specifically for the top 20 graduates from public secondary schools across the UAE who are newly admitted to ADU in the fall semester following their high school graduation.

Approval from the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is necessary to receive the scholarship. It covers the duration of full-time enrollment at ADU, requiring a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, and applicants must meet the English language proficiency standards.

For the EmSAT (or equivalent international exams) requirements, applicants need a minimum Math score of 1,200, an English score of 1,600, and an Arabic score of 900 for all colleges.

Additionally, there’s an Athletic Scholarship available for students actively engaged in ADU sports teams (as coach, captain, or player) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75. This scholarship also applies to full-time enrollment, requiring at least 12 credit hours per semester, meeting the English language proficiency criteria, and necessitating an approved recommendation letter from the ADU Student Affairs Department.

Requirements For Eligibility For Graduate Scholarships Based On Merit:

  • Candidates must have a minimum undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5.
  • A CGPA of at least 3.5 is necessary throughout the Master’s program.
  • Alumni applying for the scholarship must have attended Abu Dhabi University and should maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 during their Master’s program.
