In 2001, Dr. Joseph and Sonya Landholm established a scholarship through the NVMA Centennial Scholarship Foundation to support the advancement of Veterinary Acupuncture. This scholarship aims to assist veterinary students and practitioners pursuing certification in veterinary acupuncture. Dr. and Mrs. Landholm, who were residents of Nebraska for many years, have deep ties to the community. Dr. Landholm practiced in Lexington and later in Lincoln, Nebraska, and holds Life Membership in the NVMA.
He was recognized as an innovator and among the first certified veterinary acupuncturists in the Midwest. Presently, the Landholms reside in Sedona, Arizona.

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® NEBRASKA offers scholarships designed to support early care and education professionals in their pursuit of completing coursework at a local college, ultimately aiming for a degree in Early Childhood Education. These scholarships cater to individuals pursuing Associate Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, and now, the newly introduced Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
To be eligible for the CDA or Associate Degree Scholarship, applicants are required to work in licensed child care, preschools, family child care, approved public school pre-k programs, or Head Start. Additionally, they must commit to working at least 30 hours per week and, for CDA recipients, pledge to continue working in the early childhood field for a minimum of six months following the completion of their CDA coursework.
