The Dutch government (Holland Government) offers the NL Scholarship for international students. This scholarship is available for undergraduate and masters studies and provides the recipient with €5,000 that can be used to cover tuition fees.
The NL Scholarship accepts applications from non-EEA international students to pursue bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. The Dutch scholarship is offered by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and is awarded to bright students.

The NL Scholarship offers a scholarship amount of €5,000.
Eligibility Criteria for NL Scholarship
To qualify for the NL scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Required languages: English
- Eligible countries: International students outside the EEA
- Apply for a full-time bachelor and masters program at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
- You are not an EEA national.

- You do not have any degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands.

- Write a cover letter (maximum 500 words) to the university in which you describe why you are a talented student, taking into account your academic achievements and your extracurricular activities (eg. voluntary work).
- Indicate in your application that you are applying for the NL scholarship and upload your letter of motivation where indicated. The University of your choice will contact you to inform you if you have been awarded a scholarship.
